LeBlond Regal with 1050TZ CNC
This is a real workhorse. Until you've been spoiled by a geared headstock and dual handwheels, you probably thought CNC lathes were only for production. This one is designed for prototyping and single lot jobs. It runs well in the manual mode, or can be programmed for more serious production. Traditionally, the weak areas were the turret and the 1050T's memory loss problems. We've fixed both of these problems: The turret was overhauled by our master mechanic and hasn't missed an index since. The control has the famous Tulip GERAM memory board and just doesn't lose software any more. We use this machine here for occasional shop jobs but, as anyone around here knows: "everything's for sale!"
